People, and indeed other divisions of the group. As a trade printer,
we understand the need for confidentiality at all times. Established
more than 20 years ago, The Print People is a financially secure company with an
excellent standing and reputation within the industry. Averaging over
80 quotations per day, we can boast some of the quickest response times
in the industry when dealing with requests.
With a dedicated team of
estimators, we guarantee to process all requests within 24 hours, but
pride ourselves on an average turnaround time of less than 4 hours.
At a difficult and uncertain time in the print industry, our customers
are safe in the knowledge that should any job reprint, the price they
pay will be in keeping, or indeed, exactly the same as the previous run.

Full and comprehensive in-house origination
and design service including scanning, manual film assembly, retouching,
film output to B1 and the very latest in direct plate technology
to B0 size.
From a single colour B3 press to a 5 colour B2 press at The Print People,
and with B1 and B0 size presses within the group, no other printing
company in Scotland can offer such a varied and comprehensive print
service. The Print People have always implemented a policy of continuing investment
in modern technology and an increasing range of services. Varied shift
patterns and overtime working where necessary to ensure the tightest
of production schedules. It is not uncommon for the Print People to originate,
print and finish within 24 hours.

The Print People operates from a
modern factory location with it's own parking facilities close to Glasgow
city centre, Junction 19 of the M8.

E-Solutions
The group currently operate an online order placement and job tracking system for the Scotsman Publications.
The site was designed and created in close cooperation with the Scotsman and allows them to place new orders online,
and to check on the progress of existing orders. This innovation has all but eliminated the need for phone and fax communication.
The group hosts an FTP server. This server is available 24x7 and provides
a secure online location for the exchange of electronic files. For example,
clients can publish raw digital assets such as text documents and scanned
images, and our reprographics division can publish finished PDFs for
soft proofing.
This dramatically condenses timescales and reduces costs
by eliminating the need to courier CDs and conventional proofs back
and forth. The group offers a soft-proofing option for occasions when
expensive cromalin, inkjet, or matchprint proofs are not required. As
our workflow is entirely PDF based, we can very quickly supply our clients
with PDF proofs which can be viewed on any PC or Mac using the Adobe
Acrobat Reader.
